Marston has an immediate need for the following positions at its St. Louis, San Antonio, Denver and Calgary offices.  We are currently looking for qualified engineers with both technical and operations experience in a variety of mining operations.

SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
PROJECT CIVIL ENGINEER
PROJECT MANAGER
SENIOR MINING ENGINEER
GEOLOGICAL ENGINEER
PROJECT MINING ENGINEER

SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years industry and/or consulting experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer preferred
  • Requires experience in surface mining applications including design of sedimentation and reclamation ponds, grade changes, floodplain studies, water quality monitoring and analyses, erosion control, haulroad and embankment design.
  • Thorough understanding of civil and geotechnical engineering principles, cost estimating, report writing and the ability to analyze engineering projects and determine the appropriate actions
  • Proficient in the use of hydrologic and hydraulic computer models and AutoCAD design software

PROJECT CIVIL ENGINEER

  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Entry level to five years of experience in industry and/or consulting experience
  • Successful completion of the E.I.T./F.E. exam is preferred
  • High aptitude for effective and concentrated application of hydrologic, hydraulic, AutoCAD engineering computer tools for design and planning projects
  • Demonstration of the ability and desire to progressively increase responsibility

Project Manager

  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Mining Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years industry and/or consulting experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer Ability to manage all aspects of multiple major engineering projects including deadlines, budgets, supervision of technical personnel and resource allocation
  • Proficient in utilizing geologic modeling and mine planning computer software and hardware
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Senior Mining Engineer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geological or Mining Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 to 15 years industry and/or consulting experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer preferred
  • Computerized mine engineering skills, in both planning and scheduling software such as Mincom MinescapeTM
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.

Geological Engineer

  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Geological Engineering or related field Minimum of 5 to 10 years industry and/or consulting experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer preferred
  • Thorough understanding of geology applications including drilling program and drill site management, seam correlations, core descriptions and database management
  • Proficient in utilizing geologic modeling software and hardware
  • Experience in coal, metals or oil sands applications preferred

Project Mining Engineer

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 0 to 5 years industry and/or consulting experience
  • Successful completion of the E.I.T./F.E. exam is preferred
  • High aptitude for effective and concentrated application of current geologic and mining engineering computer tools on mine design and planning projects
  • Demonstration of the ability and desire to progressively increase responsibility
